Midweek madness!?!?

We have a problem, not enough weekends to fit everyone in (a good reason to book early) so why not take a few days off midweek and come up to Walhalla for a break.
Remember in August, running at nights, is the winter lightshow, or I should say Vinter Lujfest.
It costs nothing to wander the streets and enjoy this unique experience.
So now we need to entice you here midweek instead of everyone on weekends.
The train runs during the day on Wednesday's and special night time mine tours are operating on Wednesday nights for August.
Our midweek madness will be available for Winter and Spring ( not available school holidays ) om Monday to Thursday nights is you will pay half price for your second night when you stay two nights midweek. You must mention you saw this on our blog and you can save BIG $$$$

Spring bookings

Winter is a beautiful time here with the bare trees and daffodils already flowering. The cool nights make for perfect fireside relaxations and we do have lots of sunny days. Being in such a deep valley we tend to not experience as much wind as the rest of Victoria too which is an added bonus. The Walhalla Mill House actually faces north so the verandah there probably enjoys more sun rays than any where else in Walhalla, so combining with views it's a great place to unwind.
Our bookings for Spring are rolling in thick and fast at the moment so if you are thinking of holidays in Spring, book in soon so you can get the dates you would like.

A final note about the Swedish light festival happening in Walhalla in August called the Vinter Ljusfest with moving light shows etc so that might be a good time to experience something new and different.

Yes, the website surfaced to life today in just a temporary version, so keep an eye as we continue to improve and update the site.
Anybody who saw or stayed at the old mill house will notice many changes and it is now one of the most luxurious accommodation properties in Walhalla.
We still have a busy time ahead putting all the final touches down and designing the new brochure and website.
We are actually going to update all websites and all be linked together via the Walhalla Accommodation website.
A few surprises are organized along the way, but more about that later!
Our first blog special is a complimentary bottle of port next time you stay at any of our properties, but you must mention you saw this on the blog post! Valid winter/ spring 2011 only.
Please feel free to add your ideas and suggestions to help improve our properties as we do not intend to stand still, we will be continually looking for ways to be even better and better.

We are very excited about our new business, Walhalla Accommodation, offering three very unique and different styles of accommodation, all in Walhalla.
We have been coming to Walhalla for over 25 years and purchased the Walhalla Log Cabin in 2006. after a few renovations we believe it is by far the cutest building in town and is now clean and homely inside now.
In 2010 we bought the Wild Cherry Bed & Breakfast with grand plans for additions which are still in the pipeline.
2011 has seen us buy and carry out major renovations to Walhalla Mill House to make it into the only self contained original miners cottage available for rent in Walhalla. This makes for a very special holiday destination where you can experience life in an historic building with some added luxuries.
The Walhalla Mill House is having it's official opening on the 1st July 2011 so we are taking bookings now.
